No, the problem is people are excited for the game just because it's on the Wii.  If people wanted to get into the series, they could play the last six games in the series.

I'm not saying "don't be excited", I'm saying "Don't hop on the game's jock since it's on Wii now".

 

What if people don't want the other games? Or they don't own a PS2 or PSP? What if they just want to start with MH3? The same goes for every other series.

If they don't want the other games, then they certainly will not want MH3. On any console.

 

And I don't see why or how anyone would not have a PS2.
