I think price should definitely matter.
These reviews are for us, the consumer...they're basically made to tell us what the pros and cons of the game are, and whether or not it's worth buying. A decent game that costs $100 is a definite no-sale, and should be mentioned in the review...just like a game that should cost $30 such as Warhawk or Geometry Wars: Galaxies ends up costing $50+, it should at least be mentioned, if not factored into the number system.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
