It's pretty clear that the iphone/touch/future ipods are going to be important factors in the handheld gaming industry. That's why Sony doesn't have plans for a PSP two; they know that the competition will be too steep.
I just hope that Ambrosia software is able to get in on this. The Mac app/game developer made one of my favourite series of all time "Escape Velocity" and they'd be perfectly placed to use the pod to rocket themselves up the developers food chain.
