Wii is tracking above DS at this point in its life... BUT I do not see the Wii selling 900 in 2 year this week of dec.
The DS was really carried by Japan year 1 and 2.... this chart shall show.

In 07 and 08 the DS has really taken off, but I think we have seen the best of the Wii. I think it will be strong in years to come, but not THIS strong.
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
