Wii is tracking above DS at this point in its life... BUT I do not see the Wii selling 900 in 2 year this week of dec.

The DS was really carried by Japan year 1 and 2.... this chart shall show.

In 07 and 08 the DS has really taken off, but I think we have seen the best of the Wii. I think it will be strong in years to come, but not THIS strong.



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

So you think the Wii has peaked in its second year?

Any particular reason as to why?

looks like I picked a bad time to post this... lol. As DQ10 was announced...

Um the reason I think this year is peak is because the Wii has had a blistering start out of the gate, i just cant see it maintaining this frantic pace. But, if more huge announcements like the DQ10 one happen then I WILL be wrong, and I hope I am.

I dunno. It's only tracking about seven million ahead of the DS right now, and it's burning a lot brighter than the DS did at the same time. We'll see if it manages to compare in the coming year, but my hopes are high.
