I´m at chapter 10 playing it on hard 1. It´s actually easy so far for me. It´s better than the GC, Wii FE offerings, typical for handheld FE.
Some tips: Wolf and Segdar are ideal characters to reclass. They´ll both make excellent Generals and Heroes. Wolf has a bit higher str and Segdar a bit higher def. Cord and Bord suck, Barst is great though and makes a very good fighter/pirate. Gordin(Gaggles) and Jangen (lol) suck badly. Quite different from the rest, the game actually rewards for killing your units with 'gaiden' chapters. If you manage to have less than 15 units in your roster throughout the game, you´ll enter extra chapters at some points and be able to recruit new characters in these. I´m going to do that in my next playthrough on hard3.
