It's that time of the year again, the GoTY awards. GameSpot, like every year, has put up a list of ten preliminary GoTY candidates for us to vote on. They are as follows, with the percentage of the user vote they have so far, and the total votes:
THESE ARE NOT THE GAME OF THE YEAR NOMINEES. However, they will probably have a lot in common with those.

As you can see, MGS4 is clear in the lead, Fallout 3 is a distant second and Grand Theft Auto IV scrapes by with third.
Go on, vote and come back
Now, some questions, with my answer underneath:
1) What game do you think deserves to win?
MGS4
2) What game do you think will win the Gamespot GoTY?
Again, MGS4
3) What game do you think will win User GoTY?
Looking at the votes, it's obvious. MGS4. I'm sounding like a broken record, aren't I?
4) What games are in there that shouldn't be?
Braid is a downloadable game, BioShock was released last year. Which confuses me. It can only be PS3 GoTY, but it won't be, because there's MGS4, or maybe they're creating a Port of the Year category...
5) What games aren't in there that should be?
Gears of War 2 immediately springs to mind, and also Chains of Olympus.
Now, a difficult one:
6) What five games next year do you think will be contenders for GoTY?
God of War 3, Alan Wake, Killzone 2, BioShock 2, Heavy Rain.
