He really, really, really doesn't want people to anticipate buying Conduit so he can justify a reason why the game doesn't sell in the event that the pre-game hype doesn't match post-release sales.
Personally, I just don't think there's a huge market for high end (by Wii standards) FPS games. If there was, MP3 probably would have had a higher attach rate, given the quality of that title.
Most gamers who are really into FPS games either own a PS3, 360, PC or any combination of the three.
I bought a Wii with the idea in mind that there would be some excellent light gun style FPS games, but two years later, it really hasn't happened and I'd just as soon get my FPS yayas out on any of the big three platforms.
