Not really, the game will sell more in the western world. Lose sales in Japan but gain many more sales in the west. Is an excellent business move.

Still it's a pity for fans of the series.
REmake is one of the best games ever. RE5 be like Gears of War, even more shooter than RE4. It's really sad, cause the series used to be hardcore.

I liked the old RE's on the PS, but RE4 was just soooo much better. I think exchanging a few scares for, y'know, good gameplay is a fair trade...

RE4 is great, but please try the Gamecube REmake.
I agree that the gameplay has improved dramatically and I accept that that implies that I can't have the scary camera views. But WHY do they have to give me tons of ammo, tons of herbs and no puzzles? It just ruins the experience.
Seriously, when I finished REmake for the first time I had exactly 12 bullets left.
