Whale meat tastes damn good. I bet half the people that campaign against it wouldn't if they knew how good it tastes... I only ate it as it was part of a set menu: didn't go out of my way to order it or anything. Seen as it was put in front of me, figured it would be a waste not to try it.

 I might be the only one interested..... how does it taste ???? how is the flesh consistancy... more like meat or fish ??? how do they eat that ??? in sashimi, sushi or cooked or something I don't know of lol???

hey I'm a frog legs and snails eater.... it's not whale which will stop me :) 

The chunk I had was cooked.  Maybe roasted even.  Not sure.  Anyway, imagine a mixture of really nice beef steak and really nice tuna steak, and you get the idea.  Much closer to meat than any fish you have eaten before, but still has that something to make it stand apart from regular meat.  I doubt I'll ever eat it again unless it happens to pop up on some set menu again (it is a delicacy in Japan and you have to go fairly out of your way to find it) but it was mighty nice.
