Exactly MDMAniac.
You're absolutely right.

Sony out of the market = Better for every gamer

Sony is Hardware oriented... they don't know gaming.
My PS3 is a beast, yes.
Sleek and clean, powerful and well-designed, yes.
Does this make it a good game console? No.

Microsoft and Nintendo are software oriented, they care about end-user experience.

This trend (Sony losing) is the best thing happening right for true gamers.

Sony killed Sega?
Microsoft is about to kill Sony.

What goes around comes back around.

You got it all wrong, a better idea still would be to have Nintendo and Microsoft get out of the hardware market and have thier software devs develop for Sony's "well-designed" PS3.... that would be the best thing for gamers, and Sony did not kill Sega, Sega killed Sega, and the only thing Microsoft is killing is the original Xbox.

Huh? Did I miss something? Since when is Sony the king of hardware? The PS3 is their first great piece of hardware (and even that developers don't like very much). PSOne and PS2 were crap: they died soon and where hard to program for. Sony is good in choosing their medium (CD-Roms, DVD), that's what's brought them so much success. Ironic that now they did make an excellent piece of hardware the medium isn't popular.

All my Nintendo consoles are still working to this very day, that's great hardware.
