Huh? Did I miss something? Since when is Sony the king of hardware? The PS3 is their first great piece of hardware (and even that developers don't like very much). PSOne and PS2 were crap: they died soon and where hard to program for. Sony is good in choosing their medium (CD-Roms, DVD), that's what's brought them so much success. Ironic that now they did make an excellent piece of hardware the medium isn't popular.
All my Nintendo consoles are still working to this very day, that's great hardware.
