Sony knows how to advertise now? Really? Then how do you explain away Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, SOCOM and Motorstorm 2 all not hitting a million yet? Between all four they have approx. 1.5 million in sales. That's their entire Fall lineup thus far...1.5 million. How can that be anything but poor advertising?

 

You want R2 to have sold a million units in two weeks without Others?

It's more than six times what the first Resistance opened to in NA. It sold more than five times in Others what it sold in NA.

LBP was a new IP, it could go either way. And to the casual observer, it was a 2D sidescroller, (where you control a little thing made of cloth) most of which you have to make yourself.

SOCOM was on PSN, and opened to horrible reviews thanks to the overall bugginess at release.

MotorStorm 2... well it wasn't particularly good...

I didn't say their advertising was a touch on Microsoft's, but it's improving.
