1 - I said I was buying the console in the states 2 - Me posting on a gaming site doesn't mean my posts have anything to do with the value of the console. 3 - Could you tell me where I say i don't know the price of the consoles here in Venezuela? Anyways, thanks, think I'm going with the PS3 for 4 main reasons: |
Good choice. If your friends have PS3 online, that makes a big difference.
The 80GB PS3 is $399 in America. It comes with AV cables, a Dual Shock 3, Ethernet cable (although it has WLAN), and USB-Mini USB cable for charging your controller.
The controller has a full battery life (to begin with) of 30 hours, after this you will need to plug it in and charge. The battery level should remain very good for 5 years (at least that's what the guy at the store said)
You should definitely get HDMI cables- High Definition Multimedia Interface. This will greatly improve the picture quality, but make sure your TV has an HDMI port first. If not, you can
-Get an HDMI TV OR
-Get the slightly improved component cables.
You will want another controller if you want friends over; the Resistance games have some of the best offline multiplayer.
If you want voice chat, you might want to go with the official Bluetooth headset, $50 in America, but it's not vital if you want to keep things cheap.
As for games, it depends how many you want.
1) MGS4.
2) Resistance 2
3) BioShock
4) Little Big Planet (if it looks good to you, it's a love it/hate it thing)
5) Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
6) Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction.
Are some of the best games on PS3. You might want to look at IGN to see a list of high rated games and see which ones are in the genre you like.
Have fun playing b3yond!
