I suppose, but among the hardcore it is the general consensus..and what do you mean they haven't wowed you? the question is: what wowed you? in those PSP games? there's about 2 DS counters for each game you named..>_<''

but... FF1 and FF2 weren't remakes as much as they were ports OF the GBA remake..
and like I told you...it doesn't matter if you count them or not..and decide to exclude the DS remakes..the DS still has the biggest amount of good RPGs

>_<'' I don't see where that line of questioning was going anyway..

but..to sum it up: what wowed you if it wasn't graphics?
it's certainly not gameplay..since those don't bring much new to RPGs...so
I honestly can't guess what made those so great to you..

I don't own a PSP but some friends of mine do..and I played Crisis core and ToE
nothing..special >_<'' liked CC's battle system..but I always liked those kind of battle systems..but..besides that..nothing WOW to report

Wowing me would mean me getting emotionally invested in the story. I want to care about the characters, the story, etc. And excellent gameplay definetely adds to experience of playing these games, so yes, that was also a factor. I love games with high production values (Like Crisis Core and Professor Layton) and that doesn't just mean pretty graphics. Nothing I've played so far has given me the urge to stop what I'm doing and start playing again.

And what other game has a similar battle system to Digital Mind Wave?
