There is a difference, lets say the two were 1000, and the 360 was 800, if the price were to drop by 100 between most models would it make a difference? No they wont sell because they arent available to an expanded audience due to its PRICE.
Now its basicly the same, compare a $99 dollar console, and a $199 console, despite the cost, the console that appeals most to the general audience will sell because both are near if not below the mass market intruduction price.
Now if we were to compare a mass market console at $199 versus a $399 console its different, the 199 console is available to the entire mass market, if they want one they buy one, now the difference is the 400 dollar console isnt at mass market price, and even if those that wanted one would want to buy it, they would be restricted due to its price.
