You obviously haven't played both Madden 08 and 09 to know they differences.

I don't know if the botched ps3 edition of 08 going to a non-botched edition of 09 counts as a major difference

Sigh. The MySkill settings and Madden Tests are both pretty big additions that really change the game the longer you play.

And Garcian continues his crusade against reviewers and the bias he wants them to have.
