I would agree that Galaxy is superior to LBP, and the reason for that is the depth of gameplay. Again, I haven't spent very much time with LBP yet, but the controls and basic moveset are lacking in comparison to the precision and responsiveness that have come to be expected in a Mario platformer (the standard of excellence in the genre). I have already seen some amazing things, but it's more of an experience in observation rather than gameplay. The actual event of playing the game is much less compelling.
