I'm not so much questioning them as I'm questioning each member if they think it's worth it. Also, while there is some truth to your logic, companies would find other ways to make profit. They would simply wait just a little longer to manufacture and release something when they can make profit from their product at a more standard price instead of the expensive price an item may be released at. And it is just my opinion afterall.
I'll come up with something better eventually...
