since when if something doesnt sell as much as gears does does it become a bomb lmao.

gears is a massive franchise, coupled with a starvation factor on the 360 release front this year it was bound to happen and u have to be happy for epic and microsoft as hey have put out a game that ppl want to play.

  • ninja gaiden
  • two human
  • banjo kazooi
  • fable 2
  • gears of war 2
  • L4d

^out of them lot if you had your most wanted purchase, given the 360 higher install base what game would you buy? id buy gears 2. so a massive opening week for gears 2 is very good and is in line with what was expected, i already posted in another thread, that u cant simply buy all the games that come out, u have to put off your least wanted and get ur most wanted, and for most ppl the most wanted will be gears 2.

resistance 2 launch week if u combine NA and others will also be very good just not as good as gears 2, if you take the install base % equivilant id say gears will still be ahead but not by that much

3 Xbox 360 games have sold over 1 million copies on it's first week this year. How is that a 'starvation factor'. Better yet, why don't you tell us how the heck the Xbox 360 can launch so many high-selling games, and be starved?

The X360 shipped Mercs 2: World in Flames, Rock Band 2, The Force Unleashed, Saints Row 2, Fable 2, Fallout 3, Fifa 09, Dead Space, Pro Evo Soccer, and now Gears of War 2 - All of which are million sellers (or going to be before they run out of steam). How is that being starved for good games? How many million sellers has the Playstation 3 sold since September?

And as of today (not including Gears, even), the X360 has had 2 confirmed million sellers since September - Fable and TFU, to 1 Playstation 3 game (Fifa 09). If anything, the Playstation 3 base is starving for good games, not the X360.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
