I seriously wonder how many people actually noticed that Europe just vanished off the face of the Earth. That is basically what the adjustments did they removed the last two weeks of sales, and even then some. From what I saw many posters were so keen on the attack, or outright oblivious to the unfounded changes that I even had doubts myself.
Obviously no analytical chart is going to be flawless. I expect that but it is good to know where, and why the changes took place. What is also good to see is how the changes take place. That will help refine my predictions. Definitely helps me understand how my prediction could be over a month off. I obviously need to allow for some sway for the unreliable numbers, and if I see a adjustment. I should allow for at the least two weeks for the changes to be finalized.
What is most important though is that posters do not get slammed for making what at the time was a reasonable prediction based on current data. There is no way that any poster could have saw the adjustment coming. Without inside information that is. I suppose people that made ridiculous short term predictions have amazing dumb luck. Perhaps dumb luck translates out to luck that keeps you from looking dumb. Which is basically what happened a lot of smart posters got their noses rubbed in it. Call it a lesson in hubris I suppose, but karma is a two way street.
