think about this for a second. What is the main selling point of a retail store? customer service. What do most retailers fail at? customer service.
Why am I saying this and why am I posting this in sales and not off topic? simple this effects game sales negativelyI am not going to touch the gamestop subject as that relates to fanboy issues and that is a different subject.
In America the largest game retailer is WalMart, this should be common knowledge by now. Customer service is something WalMart should push, and make sure their employees at least try to sell their merchandise and is someone knowledgeable on a subject.Sadly I have noticed most employees are freaking morons when it comes to electronics in the electronics section.
As salemen, you should probably try to idk sale something. Not sit behind the counter or just stocking all day when there are possible customers in your department that with a bit of discussion you can probably get them to buy things they didnt even come in to get.
This doesnt just apply to games though, I am meaning the electronics themselves. If someone is browsing the TVs you would think someone should walk over and talk about the TVs?
idk this is mainly just a rant about how freaking stupid retailers seem to have become but WalMart is my main target as I work for the pos company.
