Right, that's what makes it interesting. There is no overwhelming argument for one side. It's not like those best of "The Wii will sell 200 million consoles by 2008!" (exaggerated, but there are some equally ridiculous), or Heavenly Sword will outsell Mario Galaxy! It actually looks like a very interesting question. |
Agreed... really could go either way. I'm banking on the massive hype Bioshock's been getting for some time, as well as knowing (oh yes, I know it) that the game is going to meet/pass most expectations and get good word-of-mouth, and the fact that it's available on 2 platforms as you mentioned.
Of course Prime 3 is out on the least expensive system, and is the type of title that will sell Wii's and expand the already substantial (and growing) install base. And the Metroid series is longer-lived and very quality-reliable across each title... gonna be close. But chalk me up for Bioshock, and I'll bite the bullet if I get shot.

Prediction: Wii passes 360 in US between July - September 2008. (Wii supply will be the issue to watch, and barring any freak incidents between now and then as well.) - 6/5/08; Wow, came true even earlier. Wii is a monster.
