It may have lacked immersion, but it's probably the longest I have ever played a game. It was a basic RPG, which looked brilliant and played really well. The AI may be mentally retarded, and it has its share of glitches, but with a world like Cyrodiil, they can be forgiven. I suppose the purpose of an RPG is to make you feel like your character, and I'll admit Oblivion was not very good at this. So, even if it's a failed RPG, it's one of my favourite games, just for the sheer scale and attention to detail.
