The only systems that I've bought at launch were the N64 and GBA. Otherwise, most are worth waiting a year or so for the bugs to be worked out of the manufacturing process and a decent library of compelling games that have dropped in price a bit. With that being said, I have both the DS and PSP but haven't gotten any of the new generation home consoles. And at this rate the only one that's on the radar for purchase is a Wii by the end of this year.
Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.
