Spamming the physical attack button will get you raped just as fast as spamming A in Smash. Time for a lesson in video games brought to you by naznatips. The fighting genre is often (and reasonably) divided into two distinct categories. Brawlers and Technical Fighters. Here, we have shining examples of both. A Brawler uses a simple set of commands to focus on timing and combination of those simple commands. A Technical Fighter uses complex sequences of buttons to execute the moves necessary to win (these are also the games people call button mashers, cause they are too complicated to spend time learning so people just hammer the buttons and hope that they create a special attack or combo). While a Brawler is not as er... complex, I suppose is the word, as a technical fighter, it's easily the much faster genre, and reaction time becomes far more important. In Ultimate Ninja Storm for example being able to tap the guard button at the perfect moment lets you do a substitution behind your opponent. Chaining together traps and other items with your attacks, projectiles, and support characters is the way to fight skilfully and dominate your oponenet. Most importantly, making effective use of speed and momentum. To summarize: A Technical Fighter is for the person who likes to pretend he's better than everyone else because he's studied something they don't have the time or desire to learn. A Brawler is for someone who would rather play a game on equal footing, and have the winner determined by reaction time and skill. |
This honestly doesnt make sense. If the J man played a game for a month and played his friend who is playing it for the first time of course the J man is going to win because he is better (thats not unfair thats skill).
A technical fighter is obviously more complex and rewards you if you give it time , you just cant button mash in a street fighter game and hope to win with someone who has played for a long time. Its the same as BB. And RoAN had that teleport log thing as does every other naruto game.
UNS fighting is the weakest part of it. To say "equal footing" is implying that this game takes no skill what so ever. To start on equal footing means that no matter how much you play everyone will be the same level of skill as you because the game is far to simple to involve any skill. Is that what your trying to say?
