Well Madworld is a game that just can't necessarily release at any time. I mean to most of the mainstream world, this is a controversial game. Thus you want to release it in the month of least resistance, or a time where it won't get as much media attention. Usually the best time to do this is after the holidays. Now I know that sounds like it won't be getting any advertising but if you release it in the summer(the thought when most kids buy games) or the holidays(where media is all over entertainment products) then you set yourself up for all this shit against it. While if you release in early part of the year after holidays then your less likely to have to deal with this an have no fear of advertising it as you plz.
This is why Manhunt 2 releasing on Halloween was not a great idea but Rockstar doesn't usually care about controversy anyways. So no Madworld would probably not benefit from a later release. HoD and Sonic really doesn't matter where they release. The Conduit I only related simply because it could be moved but as you said it wouldn't be wise to.
