These kind of ratings where people just throw a number out there without any given reason or link back to the user themselves is like the Metacritic user scores, prone to corruption and misuse. This was probably more rampant on VGC due to it being a smaller site and therefore a couple dedicated fanboys could really hurt a game's score.
