I have to agree with Username2324. CoD4 was a mid-console-lifespan (several years into the 360's release) game on platforms substantially more capable than the Wii. The Wii cannot hope to ever have a game that "looks as good". Wii fanboys need to stop wanting the Wii to be some hot gaming console, and stand in line with the zillions of Wii owners who bought it for what it truly represents (casual fun). It is not a HD console. It is an architecture now some 6 years past its prime (whereas the X360 and PS3 were on par with high-end PCs at the time of their release, the Wii was not), that is just plain not capable of meeting the HD consoles head on. The Wii's fantastic sales #s have nothing to do with its technological "power", so expecting developers to squeeze enough out of it to compete with even older HD games is... ridiculous. If you want a game like CoD4 on your TV, buy a X360 or a PS3.. or hook your PC to your TV. Miracles aren't going to magically appear from your favorite Wii developer. Lets see some shipped Wii software from Factor 5 or High Voltage, before we start believing they can make the Wii look that good. HV had trouble even getting a publisher for The Conduit until recently... that doesn't say much for the game, really. Factor 5's last game was an utter failure (Lair, PS3) -- especially in the framerate dept., pretty much proving they don't understand any architectures other than the GC and Wii (which are really simple by comparison to the other consoles), so they shouldn't be making comparisons. Factor 5 did a good job with the GC... with space games, which are *really* easy to make look good. Their first foray into something deeper... sucked. I don't even consider their comments serious anymore. |
Jesus where do I start with heaping pile of shit you just spewed out.
Calling Wii users that like good games Wii fanboys, that's a laugh, I mean that's like saying gamers want games are all fanboys. And 6 years past it's prime is nothing but a troll statement, it's more powerful then any last gen console get over it. PS3 and 360 were not on par with high end PCs mid-high grade PCs tops, 360 especially.
HVS had no problems at all finding a publisher for The Conduit they had a lot of choices from the very moment they revealed the game on IGN lots of publishers wanted in on the game and their Quantum 3 engine.
If you want easy architecture you're talking about Xbox and 360, GC and Wii is more simple cause Nintendo actually thinks about the development costs of it's 3rd party supporters, Sony makes their architecture as hard as possible to emulate cause they fear pirates, but the plain and simple truth is Nintendo made GC that has yet to had a emulator that played more then Smash Brothers and demos, which proves you can make things simple for devs while keeping it protected from hackers.
Just no... you must have never even played a Rouge Squadron game ever, so you really have no opinion or say in this matter or the judgement to say anything in this thread.
I've seen you post around the threads and you never contribute a damn thing to any Nintendo centric thread you've commented in, a lot of us are starting to get tired of having threads derailed and trolled by people like you, stop it, either add something to the thread or don't comment at all, you can ask questions, give your two cents when it comes to experiences, but the trolling needs to stop. I'm usually a nice guy and don't report anything but serious trolling but it's getting out of hand now, so in short I see trolling from now on I'm reporting it, alright?
