yeah, i have no idea why anyone could possibly consider pokemon "casual". probably only because it's not rated "M".
some people make the serious mistake that if a game isn't rated "M" it's got to be a "casual" game.
i think we have a good idea by now how to better define "casual" (new audience) and "hardcore" now! passage of time is definitely a factor--what's hardcore and casual changes over time. the term "casual" is not specific in the sense that it doesn't capture the points of what made the DS incredibly successful (Wii is but 1 year into its lifecycle, jury still out). maybe i'll put together an FAQ or something to settle this "casual" vs "hardcore" definition once and for all.
the Wii is an epidemic.
