Think the interesting thing this post misses is that the 360 has actually over the past 4 months (3rd of a year) massivley increased sales over the PS3. The gap is increasing and has for sometime. So while it is good that the PS3 is selling better then what it was last year the gap is almost back to 6m which it was at the start of the year. Meaning the fight back Sony had in the past 11 months has been cut to only 1m units before xmas. I would expect that number to drop to only a 6 digit number after that period. So again it is good that PS3 is doing better then last year but it could be about to see it's total gin for 2008 wiped out if 360 has a repeat of xmas 2007. Which obviously would be game over for PS3, would be no way they could catch up to 360 with a gap of over 6m units going into there 3rd year on release.
I think people are expecting the PS3 to bounce into life in a Wii kind of way. That just isn't going to happen and sales wise hasen't ever looked like happening. Think people need to accept that.
