Like others have said, it's perfectly feasible that Wii may not be able to handle the title screen. I mean, what if they decided to make the title screen a little area you walk around, with doors that lead to 'New Game', 'Load Game', 'Options', 'Mercenaries', etc?
That said, watch the video in the RE5 news article on the front page. Takeuchi CONFIRMS that Wii will be getting its' own exclusive Resident Evil game at some point in the future. So enjoy RE5 on your HD system of choice and know that Wii will one day get a for-the-ground-up installment based around its' own strengths.
