I dk, If they can't help themselves by sticking to known formula, like the competitors, dev. might again be confused by Nintendo's design / controller approach yet again.
This could be detrimental to the effort required for companies to make games for the Wii2. On the other hand, as is slowly happening this gen, perhaps the opposite will happen and eventually WM+ will prove that there is lost potential in the PSX360 market, a potential that should have been embraced 2 years ago.
The interesting question is whether all of next gen. will adopt motion control, whether Nintendo will take it further (id say yes, much further than the others could possibly imagine) and if this alone will solidify not just HD graphics but motion control as a standard. Thus making Nintendo a better choice for the MC market.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
