MGS4 needs trophies first...

I think they should give you PSN money for each platinum trophy you get. Is 5 bucks reasonable? It's not like they're losing money, right? Just giving you a discount.

And there should be leaderboards and the top three people at the end of each month should get 10 bucks each. That's extremely unlikely, but would also be extremely cool. And would kill Fallout 3 (no trophies at launch)

 

 If/when the game gets them , they are better not match the current emblems...

I had fun clearing the game 4 times. But I don't want to have to clear it like a dozen+ times for the platinum lol....( which is pretty much what is required to get all emblems).

 

They wouldn't be retroactive anyway.

 

Sony have made it clear for back-patching trophy games, any game where you can just download the save file will be a game you have to re-earn any requirements for trophies.

 

So if you needed earn all 40 ranks for a MGS4 trophy and already have them all, then you will be earning all 40 ranks again. On a newly started save file.

That's kind of how Microsoft did it when they did the rewards for achievements program. It was only new achievements gained within that period of time. I thought they would do it again because I only got enough achievements to win a few gamerpics and some MS points. Grand prize winners got a retail game (Fuzion Frenzy 2), but I didn't care because I used Fuzion Frenzy 2 to get most of my achievements. If Sony did this on a full-time basis that would be great. Hopefully forcing Microsoft's hand to do the same. I had looked forward to it this summer that past but instead they did the "Summer of Arcade" thing which was awesome anyway.
