I find that when many companies are on top they seem to start working less hard and take things for granted than they would if they were struggling in second or third place. For example Nintendo isn't even putting much of an effort into the two of the biggest gaming shows this year, Leipzig Games Convention, which is the biggest in Europe, and Tokyo Game Show, which is the biggest in Japan (and likely the World since E3 was downsized).

I know some people will reply back that Nintendo usually doesn't do much at the Tokyo Game Show anyways but strangely enough back in 2005 when they were struggling they made an appearance and a presentation and made an effort.

E for All.

I'm sorry but the fact that they're the flagship company for THE FREAKING SUCCESSOR TO E3 pretty much negates anything you have to say.

legend what you wrote is partly true. There is another angle to look at.

Nintendo have already shown many things they are releasing in 2007 and early 2008 before E3 so they don't have new content to show us or don't want to reveal the whole game to people. Another theory of mine is they arn't trying to show boat to much to let 3rd party developers feel like hmm Nintendo arn't really doing much of their own maybe we should make a game in this genre or that genre on the wii since the console is selling so well and we can exploit the market etc....

I really don't know. However I am not worried they didn't do much this E3 and beyond as far as to impress us.

I will start worrying next year if they have nothing exciting to show us.

Yes i know wii fit was big to some people however I go to the gym so no need for that for me so that is why I did not find E3 that exciting this year.

You're right but I just have the feeling if they weren't successful right now you'd be seeing Metroid Prime 3 adds *everywhere* and a real push to sell consoles instead of just sitting back and doing nothing.  And this isn't a slam against Nintendo, because Sony did the same thing and it's what made their latest launch a relative disaster.  Same with Microsoft, they only did something about their console's hardware problems after it started to cost them a lot of sales and produced a lot of bad press.
