Sarcasm...right?
Carvinal Games is the EXCEPTION, not the rule.
My cousin loves that game. Seriously.
After careful consideration of the facts at hand, I came to the conclusion that third parties are damaging their own franchises on purpose in order to sustain the myth that "only Nintendo games sell on Nintendo systems". They are doing it, because they need an excuse to not make games for the Wii when they are talking to their investors, simply because they hate developing games for your mom, your grandma and your poodle.
Usually, I'm right there with you, but this time I think you got it completely backwards. See, developers are purposely damaging their traditional franchises on the Wii because they like making games for your mom, grandparents, baby siblings, puppy, and goldfish.
That's why, for instance, Ubisoft is cheerfully making more Petz games: Prince of Persia; Two Thrones failed, so Wii audiences obviously don't like those games. Ubisoft is now free to make more of the Petz games that are near and dear to their hearts.
Think about it.
