Would anyone know if there is a error in this weeks charts. The charts are showing a mere forty thousand unit difference now. I believe the consensus at the beginning of this thread was that the difference was eighty thousand units. Having done the math in my head I can see the console sales are almost identical with one another in fact the PS3 actually pulls a few thousand units ahead. So the margin should be growing not shrinking. Looking at the math I think that someone neglected to add in the other regions number to to total console sales. That would make the numbers match up correctly I think.
Interesting to see the next week. Which actually had the PS3 make up some losses in the others market. Even though it slipped in the Americas and in Japan. Given the trend in those markets could the statistics in Europe and other regions help to offset the losses, and allow Sony to limp into the holiday season. I projected a very minor loss this week. Without the slightly lower Wii sales, and the slight jump in the others region. Well I would have been pretty spot on in my reasoning. Which was a few thousand decrease in the margin rather then a few thousand increase.
Anyone have any thoughts on how the Other regions will effect the outcome?
