The only people that want this system are th most hardcore of gamers. For most of them it is the second or third console. People do not like Microsofts attitude, and tactics, unless that changes Xbox will always be the same. |
Forgive me, but I think your post is a little optimistic when it comes to the effect Home will have on new console purchasers. Also, I wouldn't be too sure LBP can outsell Gears 2. Finally, it's not just Americans who like Fable 2 and Gears 2. You're mistaken.
As for history staying the same, that's fine. If Sony continues at this rate of brand degration, there won't be a PS4. Also, the 360 is actually far more successful than the original Xbox, which means that brand has gained ground. Now, applay that same reasoning from the PS2 to the PS3, and you'll see that your basic assumptions are ignorant.
