That means that attacks are turnbased and use menus, but you could still dodge the attacks of your enemy, or move to a spot that will be better to attack at? Anyway the game looks great and is my second most anticipated wii game. |
That's the first impression I got.
But I don't know, it's weird. That first battle scene of the beach makes it look like you might have free movement like in Tales (but on a 3D plane), and in other's it looks like your standard turnbased-fare.
Edit: This might explain some things.
- no random battles
- enemies appear on-screen
- choose which enemies you want to fight
- if you flee a fight but get caught, you’ll start the next fight with less AP
- battle freezes to allow you to distribute AP between party
- focus on one player for combo attacks, split AP for varied attacks
- turn order appears on-screen
- elemental shields
