And I am not talking about an optimized setup, I am talking about start up costs. You just dont want to admit that 3 controllers are part of the start up costs because it might make the Wii look less awesome or something. You refuse to thing about the statement with an open mind. By God if anyone points out anything even remotely negative about the wii they are obvisously a hater and dont know what they are talking about. You Wii fanboys are sensitive. All the commericals for the Wii have a group of friends playing or a family on the couch playing and you guys act like you multiplayer isnt the focus of the system. To play the Wii with your friends, its as expensive as a PS3 or XBox. Its really that simple and yes its a fact. (extra controllers are important to the wii and they cost $60 each) "if you add 3 controllers to a Wii system purchase to play those cool party games it becomes just as expensive as a XBox or PS3 purchase." that was my original statement - then the wii boys started crying and acting like what I had said was untrue or just plain mocking me like a kid. Galaki - what does 2006 have to do with anything? Or can you not help trolling and making posts that bring nothing to the conversation? |
First of all you are assuming that everyone needs to set up for four players. Why four? Why not three or two? That's multiplayer. Does everyone need to be prepared for the max number of players? You don't need to max out the number of players unless you are optimizing. (and as I pointed out before, for the games you are giving the child in your example, only wii sports tennis requires four controllers for four players)
Second, you say that every controller costs $60, meaning that you need not only four wiimotes, but four nunchuks too. What games are you playing that you must have four nunchuks? You want us to believe that extra controllers for HD consoles are optional because of the strong single player experience, but that four nunchuks are required when there isn't a million seller on the wii that requires this. (there is only one game I have ever heard of that requires this)
Third if you want to use commercials to defend the multiplayer necessity of the wii, then you have to accept the neccesity of an HD tv for the HD consoles because I don't think there is a commercial for an HD console where the screenshots were all 4:3.
Finally, disputing your points is not crying, and if you have been mocked it is because you have repeatedly prefeced your opinion with the insistence that it is indisputable fact. (it also doesn't help that this was the exact argument used in 2006 by many PS3 fanboys to demonstrate that its launch price wasn't really so high)
