Did you check the numbers before you said this or did you just say it because you thought it sounded good? Sorry if that comes off as rude but this is a blatantly false statement. Recent WW sales are around all-time highs and individual region #s are correspondingly high.
The month of July was the best 4-week month for the Wii to date.

Out of the last 15 weeks only one time has the WW PS3 numbers outsold the US Wii number. It was last week and it was on boosted hardware sales in Japan from HSG5. Now I doubt that the Wii will be able to hold this kind of a lead over the PS3 if it can get it, but it seems very likely that it could happen soon and very very far from an impossibility.
I think this is the perfect example of how some people don't bother checking numbers but just blindly back their console like its patriotic or something. Trust me this doesn't detract from the PS3 in any way, your PS3 will still play blu-ray discs if this happens and it will still play all of your games..I promise!
