Hmmm. A Sony fan today saying the PS3 will win is as delusional as a Nintendo fan saying the N64 will win in 1997. The changing of the guard is EXACTLY the same as it was 10 years ago when Sony became the victor and interestingly its been caused by exactly the same reasons, only difference is the winner and loser have swapped places.

Im not delusional, just because in the beginning a console sells well, does not mean it will win in the end..look at the psp when it came out the ds couldnt compete...but the tables have turned.

Leo, the difference is the PSP didn't stop selling well for the DS to surpass it, the DS simply jumped up to monumental sales.

What many PS3 fans are suppositioning is the Wii will slow down drastically in 2008-2009 and the PS3 will shoot up like a DS rocket. That kind of reversal has never happened. Not with both products on the market together like this.

I'm always confused when I hear things like the DS surpassing the PSP. According to http://vgchartz.com/hwcomps.php?cons1=DS&reg1=All&cons2=PSP&reg2=All&cons3=PSP&reg3=All the DS was never behind. Is data missing?

It's a US, not global issue.

 http://vgchartz.com/hwcomps.php?cons1=DS&reg1=America&cons2=PSP&reg2=America&cons3=PSP&reg3=America&align=1

Even in Japan the PSP was outselling it for a while on a weekly basis.   This was all prior to the release of the DS Lite.
