All of people's scenario's that involve the PS3 winning require that people wake up one morning and decide randomly that they hate the wii for some nonsensical reason, and sell it to buy a PS3. Strictly by the numbers the PS3 in the best case scenario won't catch up for years, let alone surpass. If wii's stopped selling altogether, and PS3 sold half a million a month it wouldn't catch up for a year. Realistically, even in best case scenario's it wouldn't catch surpass the wii for two or more years.
People just expect Jesus to come down from heaven and declare the PS3 the winner.
