It moves the 360 one step closer to mass market price appeal, and simultaneously helps clear out stock to make way for the Griffin redesign. Sounds pretty good. |
I think this and the new falcon revision of the 360 when it reaches stores will help sales. Also reports of the new heat sinks in refurbished units stopping the RROD issue will help as well. I think the biggest issue for the 360 and what's hurting it's sales is not the competition but it's overheating and quality issues (of course pricing is also a major problem). Once those are behind the system it'll help a lot, unfortunately I think the RROD have caused the 360 to go from a 50 million seller in it's lifetime to more likely a 35 million seller.
