Sony announced in mid January that they shipped 2 million PS3's. They missed their projection. NPD data for the USA was under one million through 2006, while Media create was around 470,000 in Japan. At best, Sony had sold 1.4 million or so PS3's in 2006 to customers (gamers). Even adding in the Americas totals to the USA though, it was likely 1.25 or 1.3 million sold. Keep in mind Nintendo said it shipped 4 million Wii's in 2006, but retail problems lead to 3.19 million Wii's sold in 2006.
People are difficult to govern because they have too much knowledge.
