Why would you even assume that?  There's no good reason to assume that unless they specifically mention that because that means they would have to go back on each individual titles and rework all the controls.  That would take a lot of money and it just wouldn't be worth it.

Until they say the controls are going to be reworked, I would just not get my panties in a bunch and assume they aren't.

 

If you look up a few posts, IGN is quoted as saying new controls. I don't know if they translated it right, but you can see why people (including myself) would think that there are new controls.

I don't know, IGN is the ONLY place reporting that as far as I can see.  Making new controls just doesn't make sense because that would be a lot of time and money devoted to something that wouldn't be that big of a return.

 

From Wired liveblog of NA conference:

Apparently they're actually upgrading these GameCube games with Wii controls, and it includes the Metroid Prime games, so if those reports are correct, we'll have Wiimote-enabled versions of those games... interesting.

 

And Metroid Prime shoots up into my top 5 game franchises ever.
