Yep. of course PSN Isn't as mature as Live. Live was available with XBOX 1.

Very true. I wonder how SEGA's service would have been if they we're here. I think they tried to tackle online with the dreamcast right?

I've corrected 10 people so far and I will keep doing it.

My saturn surfed the web, played sega rally, bomberman and duke nukem online...SATURN!!!!! :)

My bad, that's the console I meant. But yea, this is why I was asking, Sega tried online on consoles b4 everyone else right? Am wondering how thier console would have been today... their online service anyway.

Actually Nintendo was first, they had an online system on the NES, in Japan at least.

Darn--I was JUST about to post that!  But even if we restrict it to systems that had it worldwide, the SNES had a service that let you play select online games, including Street Fighter 2.  There were friends lists and everything!

It even technically had a downloadable game--that online mmo-lite Zelda thing where they actually had people hired to broadcast the voices EVERY HOUR!

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
