Like it or not ,for core gamers Wii isnt the big winner ,the HD consoles still get most of the love from the developers that only throw some spin-offs to the Wii here and there ,and the graphics of the best Wii games arent but a very small step ahead of the Game Cube games.Thats the reality. The Wii may be selling by the bucketloads,ok,but you need more that having a machine and have it sell a lot to have the succesor of the PS2 as you have foolishly claimed so many times the Wii was.The wii sells a lot because it sells to other demographics (old people,people that want to try the wiimote and never play other games that Wii Sports ,soccer moms ,little children,etc)....thats allright good for it but it wont be the succesor of the PS2 because it wont ever have the best library (and games in all the genres )and technically its lacking.A quick search through gamerankings can put things clearer for you about this ...the Wii two years since release has only 23 games over 80 .... and many of those are PS2-Cube ports(Zelda TP,RE4,Okami ,etc).THe PS3 and the 360 are way above.And this will continue like that ,like it or not. |
I actually completely agree with this. I've said this before in another thread:
The Wii is going to be the only console to win NOT because of it's software. But I guess they went the right direction this gen. Sony and M$ have said "you can have all the hardware you want, but it means nothing without software" or something of that nature. Ninty just took that train of thought and wrecked it....but it that good for gamers?
