Yes, I only said it's on the steep side for a Valve game.
These requirements are not bad at all, and it's natural that Valve's latest game will require more than their previous ones, especially a game like Left 4 Dead.
I only say its steep because Valve tends to set extremely low system requirements. That way the person with the cheap rig from 5 years ago can still play the game with decent settings, and the person with the bleeding-edge PC can still reap the benefits of his or her hardware...there's plenty of scaling with Valve games.
This is just a little bit higher than any Valve game before it, so it's pretty much time for the lowest PC users to upgrade.
