I'm not planning on getting it, because I'vev already bought it.
It really is the most polished third-party game on Wii right now. Not a trace of PS2 in its blood.
The gameplay is great, especially if you like to challenge yourself by running through as fast as possible or going for 100% completion. If you love platformers and collecting, this game was made for you.
I only got a brief taste of multiplayer, but I found it fun. It's not a game that I'd recommend buying for the multiplayer alone, but it's not an unpolished lame afterthought, either. Adds some nice value to the title.
The jumping mechanic takes a little getting used to. I'm referring to the way Blob clings to walls and slides along them. When you use it properly, it's pretty satisfying, but if you muck it up it can get frustrating.
