@Kyros: And Guitar Hero gives you one piece of plastic. So, that's 2-1 for Wii Music. Also, Wii Music imitates 50 instruments, while Guitar Hero "imitates" only one. So that's 50-1 for Wii Music. And they are taking you a lot further than Guitar Hero, atleast in terms of gameplay.

@OkeyDokey: No, i'm not riling people up. they tend to do it by themselves. Look at Kyros, how is basing his arguments? By posting videos of people who can't play the game and saying "it sucks because i say so". The discussion could be even good, if there would be real arguments, but since there's practically none, people just get riled up.
Of course, i'm not saying that Wii Music is guaranteed to be good, but it has a lot potential considering about what we have seen so far and it having Miyamoto behind it, whose games usually deliver.
On a side note, what people seem to be forgetting (despite someone always bringing it up) is, that Miyamoto have played a guitar practically all his life, so i'm pretty positive about him knowing what it means to play an instrument. Maybe the simulation isn't perfect, but atleast it should have the creativity and fun -aspects in it.

And about the topic, what Miyamoto is talking about, is that when you take lessons in playing the instrument, you will learn how to play it, not what's fun in it (especially when its the parents who put their kids taking lessons). As Stof pointed out, even the Guitar Hero is getting people to take guitar lessons, so apparently people have learned that playing an instrument can be fun, despite them not playing one. Maybe the people would have wanted to do other stuff in Guitar Hero than just press buttons and are taking lessons to do that.
